
Polish born American soprano, Aneta Augustyn is tremendously recognized throughout Southern California as one who specializes in the Bel Canto technique. "Her vibrantly warm silver tone is dynamically versatile as a Lyric or Coloratura Soprano."
Augustyn’s portrayal of Lucia from Lucia di Lammermoor proved to be an artistic triumph. Other operatic credits include: Tosca from Tosca, Mimì from La Bohème; Violetta from La Traviata; Pamina from the Magic Flute; Ms. Blemley from Tobermory, The First Lady in the Magic Flute, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Marie in La fille du regiment, and Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus. While attending the Tusia Operafestival, Ms. Augustyn covered Countess Almaviva from Le nozze di Figaro, and performed Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi at Opera in the Ozarks.
Her solo concert appearances include: Handel's Messiah; Mozart’s Coronation Mass; Vivaldi’s Gloria; Mozart’s Mass in c; Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra as well as Mozart’s Exsultate, Jubilate K. 165 with a Boston University string sextet. She is an active performer and a recitalist working throughout Southern California.

Ms. Augustyn has trained with renowned vocal coaches, directors and teachers, including: Milena Kitic, Valery Ryvkin, Yelena Kurdina, Joan Dornemann of the Metropolitan Opera, Henri Venanzi of Arizona Opera and Opera Pacific, Mark Salters, Nocola Bowie, Maria Spacagna, Shigemi Matsumoto, Eileen O'Hern, as well as Maestro Enrique Arturo Diemecke of the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Augustyn also took part in Masterclasses featuring: Simon Estes, Phyllis Curtin, Ken Cazan, Elizabeth Futral, Suzanna Guzman, Larissa Gergieva an Artistic Director of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Artist in Moscow, Russia, Claude Corbais, Frederica Von State, Horst Günter and Julius Rudel.
She received prestigious awards and recognition from: the Gerda Lissner International Vocal Competition and became a finalist for the Bel Canto Vocal Scholarship Foundation Competition of Rhode Island. Her other awards include: First place Winner for the Sigma Alpha Iota Vocal Competition, a top price award winner from the Young Musician Foundation, a Léni Fé Bland Music Scholarship Competition winner, a recognition from the Metropolitan Council Opera Auditions, a recognition from Plácido Domingo as a finalist for the Los Angeles Opera Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program and was named The Best Female Young Artist at the Opera in the Ozarks.
Ms. Augustyn maintains a private vocal and piano studio working with beginning and intermediate level students and was on the voice faculty at Santa Ana College teaching vocal pedagogy and Claremont Community School of Music providing fundamental music knowledge and vocal training to all levels and ages. She was a children's chorus master, music director and a mentor for the Riverside Lyric Opera and the Repertory Opera Company. She is vocal adjudicator and her students have place in several prestigious vocal competitions and were accepted to LACHSA, Redland University School of Music and LA Children's Chorus. Ms. Augustyn took part in the Cathedral Choir at Holy Family Cathedral as a soprano section leader, cantor and soloist.
Her new endeavor is a director/voice teacher of Classical Music Academy in Yucaipa Performing Art Center. She delegates children and adult classical voice classes on weekly basis and partners with YPAC for community events. Ms. Augustyn is the artistic director of Riverside Lyric Opera. She is currently a cantor at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Community in Beaumont.
She earned a Master’s Degree Magna Cum Laude in Vocal Performance from Boston University, a Bachelor’s degree in Opera Performance from California State University Long Beach as well as an Associate degree in Music from Santa Ana College.
